The Quenacho is classified as an Andean flute. It is normally made up of 6 finger holes along with 1 thumbhole (located on the back end of the flute) and is traditionally constructed with bamboo. In order to create a sound with the Quenacho, one must close the top end of the flute with the flesh between their chin and lower lip, and blow a stream of air downwards, along the axis of the flute, over the U shaped mouthpiece.
This Quenacho is handcrafted in Bolivia by an excellent Andean artisan.
Retuned & Finished by Jorge (Farrucas Duo), using 2 non-toxic, 100% natural oils. The oil applied in the interior of the flute helps prevent moisture build-up and leaves the flute soft to interpret. The oil applied on the exterior of the flute helps protect it from water and humidity; as well, giving it a natural, smooth, and professional finish. 100% Guarantee.
